Imindi has one glaring problem; its user interface. As of now the only way to have related discussions link to one another, is by manually merging the discussions. This is time consuming, and is not very user-friendly. However, this problem is going to be addressed by Imindi team, by adding a brainstorm function, allowing users to turn thoughts into discussions. Another annoying problem with the interface of Imindi is that it is currently impossible to see old thoughts penned by other users. Since the only way to see thoughts is on the time line on your homepage. This in turn, severely limits the capabilities of the site if you want to expand on an idea you saw two weeks ago. This problem could be easily fixed by inserting a search bar.

I expect to see Imindi evolve over the next few months into a greatly improved service. I think with a better UI and a larger user base this service could be a community full of great thinkers innovators, and new ideas.

Honestly just as many scientists who support the global warming theory as those who don’t. Thirty years ago global cooling was going to doom us. Global warming is a passing fad. In five years politicians will invent another crisis to save us from. Global warming and global cooling are cyclical; in the 1400′s the little ice age was holding Europe hostage.  In the last one hundred years the average temperature has risen .5 degrees! IMHO global warming is being over dramatized.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a network protocol used to exchange and manipulate files over a TCP computer network, such as the Internet. An FTP client may connect to an FTP server to manipulate files on that server.

The objectives of FTP, as outlined by its RFC, are:

1. To promote sharing of files (computer programs and/or data).
2. To encourage indirect or implicit use of remote computers.
3. To shield a user from variations in file storage systems among different hosts.

Ftp is a very versatile protocol and is great way to transfer files that are not  very important. Running a server is very easy all you need is
1. a computer that is connected to the internet and on when ever you plan on transferring files.
2. A FTP Server client Here
3. and a Ftp client

First Download suggested FTP client, and install it on your computer. Use all the pre-checked settings. Then start the program and a configure users prompt will pop up. Enter a username and pass word so that only you can access the FTP server. Then set the home directory (called the root) , in my case i selected C: as that is my main hardrive. This will tel l the server what folders the connections are allowed to modify. Then save the settings, and start up a FTP client such as Filezilla. To access you server you must be on the same network unless you forward the ports on your router (search this and youll find a tutorial). To connect enter your ip address of you server computer, and your credentials. Your home directory should now pop op.

SEC. 3. CYBERBULLYING.

(a) In General- Chapter 41 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:

`Sec. 881. Cyberbullying

`(a) Whoever transmits in interstate or foreign commerce any communication, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause substantial emotional distress to a person, using electronic means to support severe, repeated, and hostile behavior, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

`(b) As used in this section–

• `(1) the term `communication’ means the electronic transmission, between or among points specified by the user, of information of the user’s choosing, without change in the form or content of the information as sent and received; and

• `(2) the term `electronic means’ means any equipment dependent on electrical power to access an information service, including email, instant messaging, blogs, websites, telephones, and text messages.’.

(b) Clerical Amendment- The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 41 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new item:

`881. Cyberbullying.’.

Sure it may be with good intentions. But this bill will be misused by lawmakers and in my opinion be like the child pornography bill. People that are going to be prosecuted under this amendment will be the same people its meant to protect. The law is too broad and is a direct violation of free speech.

Are they going to shut down all political blogs next?

Why don’t they shut down celebrity magazines? They cause people harm.

Why is print media different than electronic media?

So if someone is criticized by an article that is downloaded on a E-reader device is that cyber bullying?
